"The difference between Wichita State and SMU was that Wichita State was a little closer to home and we've got a close family," Stutz said. "Plus, there's a good possibility that at least one of my brothers if not both of them might go there."
Stutz is a 6-foot-11 center out of North Kansas City High. Following the spring and summer and after he grew considerably in the past season, Stutz' stock rocketed. Dozens of programs cranked up the interest in him and he went on a visit binge that led to swings through Wichita State, SMU, Kentucky and a host of others.
A late bloomer by definition, Stutz came highly regarded in the fall and surely will be a strong piece to the Shockers' future frontcourt. Still, Stutz knows there are some things he needs to work on in advance of his arrival.
"There's a lot of things. I don't know if there's one specifically. I do need to add some good weight but still be able to move."
