Hollis Thompson, 6-6 JR SF Los Angeles (Calif.) Loyola, will announce his college choice sometime in the next seven to ten days, his mother said this evening.
"He's pretty much got it narrowed down to three schools, but he's going to sit down and think about it this weekend," said Mrs. Thompson. "Then we'll have an announcement at his school sometime in the next seven to ten days. We'd like to get it done before Thanksgiving."
Mrs. Thompson declined to reveal the three schools currently at the top of her son's list. However, sources close to the recruitment have mentioned Georgetown as the probable leader.
Thompson is an elite prospect with a very high ceiling. A year ago at this time, Thompson wasn't really seen as a top prospect, but he became a much better player over the course of his sophomore year. He grew into his long and gangly body, while his ball skills improved dramatically.
Thompson is an excellent student with a 4.0 GPA.
