Vincent Is A Happy Camper

Vincent Camper played on a loaded AAU team last summer. For that reason, he was sometimes caught out of position and wasn't always running the show. We think a certain Conference USA team landed a player that managed to fly under the radar.

Camper Should Be A Good One

Vincent Camper is a point guard and he's a good one. He's got a big body, makes good decisions and runs the show. We thought he did a great job when he had the ball in his hands last summer. Now, the native of California will get a chance to run the show in Conference USA.

Late last week Camper picked Tulane after receiving heavy interest from Fresno State. Camper grew up in Long Beach but opted to stay closer to his current home.

"I just liked the school and what they had and said to me," Camper said. "I liked the fact that I could come in and play a lot in a pretty good conference. I liked that they were telling me that I would have a good chance to come in and start and play 30-35 minutes as a freshman in a good conference."

The New Orleans Jazz, his traveling summer team, was loaded. Often times he found himself manning a position other than the lead guard role. Some analysts miscast him in a role other than the point. We think that's exactly where his future is.

"I think I'm still growing and I'll get bigger and better. I have a big upside."
