Aussie Is Big 12 Bound

Nate Tomlinson, one of the premier point guards on the board, opted to end his recruitment Monday morning.

Jeff Bzdelik wanted Nate Tomlinson bad enough that the Colorado head coach ventured out to Lee (Maine) Lee Academy twice this fall to see him. It came down to the Buffaloes, UNLV and St. Louis.

"Nate Tomlinson has verbally committed to Colorado," Bruce Lindberg, Lee Academy's headmaster told "He'll be signing his letter of intent Wednesday morning."

Tomlinson's a 6-foot-2 Australian import who is in his second season in the United States.

The Buffaloes, according to Lindberg, simply had everything he needed. "It was a great fit. He really enjoyed his visit, the coaches and the school. He had a great visit. My advice to him was to take his visit and within 20 minutes of being on the campus you'll know if you fit."

Bzdelik's commitment to Tomlinson stood out. "They really gave him the personal attention that sold him."
