Six Expected To Sign At Chipola

Chipola College will send a bunch of prospects to Division 1 schools this year, and Mario Little is their biggest prospect set to sign this week.

Chipola College has produced a number of Division 1 prospects over the years and this year isn't any different. According to Greg Heiar, who is Chipola's head coach, they'll have six players sign with schools during the fall period.

Headlining his group is Mario Little, a 6-foot-5, 210-pound wing, and he's committed and is expected to sign with the Kansas. Little joins Travis Releford, Quintrell Thomas, Markieff Morris and Marcus Morris to make up Kansas' 2008 class.

Although Little is the only Chipola prospect to go to a high-major program this year, Heiar is sending a bunch of guys to solid mid-major squads. Clevin Hannah, a 5-foot-11 guard originally out of Holly Springs (Miss.) is headed to Wichita State and Joey Cameron, a 6-foot-8 forward is will sign with Fresno State.

Chipola will also send 5-foot-11 point guard Malik Alvin to Binghamton. Skyler Williams, who is originally from Dublin (Ga.) will sign with Lamar and 6-foot-3, 210-pound Mario Edwards will head to Coastal Carolina.

Each of Heiar's six prospects headed to college are expected to sign their Letter of Intents in the early signing period.
