"I'm really looking forward to it," Bell said. "It's my first official visit."
Louisiana and Providence are the two schools high on Bell's list right now. "Both of those schools have been recruiting me pretty hard. They both have offered scholarships and offered me official trips. Even though Providence signed a guard, I heard that they will still want to take me, too. I really don't have a favorite among those two. And I'm still looking at others."
Bell said that Cal State Northride and Long Beach State are two of the "others" that are still showing him the most interest. Neither have offered him or contacted him about taking an official visit. He also said that some Pac-10 schools are still sniffing around.
Could he commit to Louisiana on his trip this weekend? "It's a possibility, but they're not really my only option at this point so I don't think I will. I'd like to take more trips and see if anyone else is going to show me interest. I want to have as many opportunities as possible."
Bell, who had a good summer and helped his stocked, said he's been working hard to improve his academic situation. "I'm doing better in school," he said. "I have about a 2.5 core GPA now. And I'm taking the SAT in November. I barely missed getting a qualifying score the first time. This time I've been taking the Princeton Review, which has really helped. So I don't think I'll have a problem passing this time."
