Sooners Lead For Center
Longar Longar could be on the verge of making a decision. On Sunday night, he told TheInsidersHoops.com that while he didn't commit to OU on the visit, he might be ready to do something soon.
"I don't know when I'll decide," Longar said. "My, mom and uncle will sit down tomorrow and talk." At that point, we expect Longar to commit to his leader, Oklahoma, and make an announcement shortly after.
Longar said the Sooners visit went well. "It was good. It was a good trip because I got to watch the football game and see the players practice. I really liked the staff and the coaches. It was a good trip.
"I got a chance to get to know Hollis and those guys. I hung around them and got to know them a little."
Longar says UConn and Fresno State are involved but he has no other official visits set up and indicated he wasn't sure if he would take another visit.
Longar has some academic work to do if he's to play next season in college. Regardless, we think OU would sit him out or explore a prep school option. "We're working on it right now where I can make it next year and go to college."
