Strickland Ends His Recruitment

Talented junior guard Dexter Strickland has made his college decision. The 6-foot-3 guard will play his college ball in the ACC.

The Tar Heels are rolling on the recruiting front as they picked up yet another underclassmen commitment. According to sources close to the situation, Dexter Strickland is headed to North Carolina.

Strickland, who is ranked No. 1 at the point guard position and No. 10 overall, is expected to make a formal announcement today following his game at the Nike Super Six.

"Roy Williams is a good friend," Strickland told last month. "I like their coaching staff, the players on the team and basically everything. It's a nice gym too. I like their gym."

Strickland had his list down to North Carolina, Florida and Michigan State, but in late December he narrowed it to the Tar Heels and Gators. The talented guard informed the parties involved late Saturday evening.

Strickland is the Tar Heels' fourth commitment in the 2009 class. John Henson was the first to pop two weeks ago, then David and Travis Wear announced their decision the very next day.
