Holsey Has Three In Front

Kammeon Holsey made a name for himself this summer and he's living up to it during the high school season, as he's had college coaches traveling to see him all year.

Kammeon Holsey is backing up a solid summer with an impressive high school season. The 6-foot-8, 200-pound power forward is averaging 20 points and 13 rebounds half way through his junior campaign.

"It's been a real breakout year," Holsey, of Sparta (Ga.) Hancock Central, said. "We've improved as a team and our coach is doing a good job of getting us to play together and win."

Holsey is playing so well, that his recruitment continues to pick up. Already holding offers from Clemson, Georgia Tech, Xavier, Florida State and Nebraska, the talented big man picked up a new one from Alabama last week.

"Since Alabama offered me I want to take a visit down there," Holsey said. "I don't want to move too fast with the recruiting process, I want to take my time and see what schools I'm really interested in and see what kind of programs they have."

Holsey has unofficially visited Georgia Tech and Clemson in the recent weeks. He made the short trip to Georgia Tech when they took on Florida State in late December and he was at Clemson for one of their biggest games of the year.

"The last game I went to was at Clemson," Holsey said. "I went to Clemson when they played North Carolina. I had a good time and I talked to Coach [Shaka] Smart before the game. I had a good time."

Although he doesn't plan to make a decision soon, Holsey does admit that there are three schools that stick out.

"I like Georgia Tech, Clemson and Xavier," he said. "Those are my top three."

After the season Holsey, who is rated as a three star prospect on Scout.com, also has intentions of visiting Xavier.
