Majok Offers Up A Final List

It's a big deal to be on the list of a talented big man at this stage in the season. Class of 2008 senior Ater Majok settled on a pair of visits and trimmed his list.

Ater Majok, one of the top unsigned players on college radar screens, trimmed his list. From Australia where the 6-foot-9 resides and through his guardian, Majok released a statement.

Before we unroll the release, here's the skinny: Connecticut and Kansas are getting official visits. UCLA, Kentucky and West Virginia are vying for his final visit. Remember, he's been to Maryland (eliminated) and Baylor (in contention).

Baylor and Connecticut, two programs that made the long distance journey to Australia, lead the pack of contenders.

"Coach Williams, Coach Driesel, staff, and Gervis thanks for the visit and coming out to see my games. To coach Wainwright and Williams from DePaul, Coach Fergurson from Oklahoma State, Coach Gottlieb from California, Coach Herrion from Pitt, Coach Davis from Cincinnati, Coach Fuller from LaSalle, and Coach Payne from Oregon thanks for finding Martinsville and coming out to see me practice and play.

"The two Universities that I will definitely visit are the following: the University of Connecticut and the University of Kansas. For my third and last visit I will chose from the following list of schools: the University of Kentucky, UCLA, and West Virginia. Some schools on this list I may take an unofficial visit if time and location permits while we are in the (United States) for my official visits. I have been advised recently that there is an interest from Memphis but I will have sit with Coach Smith and see what he thinks about the situation.

"Baylor University and the University of Connecticut are my current leaders as they have been out to Australia for a visit and I have spoken to the head coach from each school.

"After my three visits, I will sit with coach Smith and my parents to finalize my decision."
