"Jack met with his coaches late last night going over the various schools," Jack Sr., told Scout.com. "He wanted to sleep on it, he slept on it and he's going to Notre Dame."
If you recall, last week Cooley's process accelerated when he received offers from Notre Dame, Illinois and Wisconsin. As Iowa, Marquette and others loaded up for a potential run at him, the Irish moved to get him to campus. Meanwhile, Illinois accepted a commitment from Tyler Griffey.

"When we first got him we saw him a big kid who moved ok," Rising Stars Mike Weinstein said. "What we didn't realize is that he works and he's good with details. He's taken off because he's got athleticism that people didn't realize and he's a worker.
"He really feels good about himself. He grew up right in front of us in terms of wanting to score and dominate people. Now he plays like a bull."
