Hogs Land Famutimi
The battle came down to a good one with Missouri and the Razorbacks. He visited Missouri last weekend. The native of Canada has been one of the most high-profile recruits in the nation for the last two seasons.
TheInsidersHoops.com lists Famutimi as the No. 15 prospect in the country. Last season, according to his AAU coach Chris Grier, Famutimi averaged 23 points, 13 rebounds and 3 assists. As a sophomore, he accounted for 14 points a game.
With the Michigan Hurricanes on the summer circuit, Famutimi has shown improvement, especially on offense. He's expanded his range to include a 3-point shot and hasn't lost his athleticism which routinely allows him to hover above the rim.
Famutimi is the third player to commit to the Razorbacks this season. He joins frontcourt standouts Julius Lamptey and Vincent Hunter. Arkansas also remains in hot pursuit of Ronnie Brewer, the son of a former Razorback standout. Brewer is visiting Oklahoma State this weekend.
Meanwhile, Stan Heath continues to assemble an impressive first-full-year haul in Fayetteville.
