Blue Close To Ending Recruitment

One Atlantic-10 program is on the very of landing a combo guard. Trey Blue told Scout.com that he's very close to ending his recruitment.

The end is nearing for Wolfeboro (N.H.) Brewster Academy guard Trey Blue. The native of Chicago should be making his decision in the near future.

While Richmond, Santa Clara and Old Dominion are on him, an Atlantic-10 program is emerging. Fordham recently hosted the 6-foot-2 combo guard and has the inside track for his commitment.

"It's in the A-10, my mom likes the school," Blue said. "I talked to Jio Fontan and he said he'd give me the ball.

"Basketball-wise, first and foremost, it's Coach Whittenburg. The first few times he seemed like a nice guy and once I got down there everything turned into reality. They came straight at me."

Blue kick started his mid-level recruitment in November at the National Prep Showcase. His value lies in the ability to criss-cross between his natural scoring guard role while stealing timely minutes at the point guard slot.
