Terrell Has Big Sophomore Season

J.T. Terrell is in the midst of a great season. The sophomore guard talked to Scout.com about his recent play and recruitment.

In just his sophomore year at Burlington (N.C.) Hugh M Cummings, J.T. Terrell is putting up big numbers.

The 6-foot-3, 175-pound guard is averaging 26 points and seven boards a contest, with his most recent outing being a 35-pount outburst in front of Wake Forest head coach Dino Gaudio.

"I think I'm playing well individually and I think our team is playing pretty good too," Terrell said. "Our season is going really good so far."

To go with Gaudio and the Demon Deacons, Terrell also has gained interest from Virginia, Miami, UNC Charlotte, Kentucky, Florida, Kansas, Virginia Tech, Duke and North Carolina. Only Wake Forest, Miami and Charlotte have offered.

"I'm still kind of open right now, but I was planning on making a decision sometime after the high school season or sometime during the summer," Terrell said.

"I like Wake Forest and Virginia right now, but there's still not a big lead between anybody."

Terrell has already taken unofficial visits to Kentucky, Wake Forest, North Carolina and Duke.
