Frazier Focuses On Playoffs

Tim Frazier put together a solid junior season and he's hoping to make a run in the playoffs. Scout.com caught up with the talented to guard to get the scoop on his play and recruitment.

Tim Frazier is trying to orchestrate a tournament run.

So far, so good. The Houston (Tex.) Strake Jesuit standout played in his first post-season game of the year on Tuesday and went for 15 points in a 24-point win for the Crusaders.

"The season has gone well," Frazier said. "During the season we had a 13 or 14 game win streak and we just won our first play off game. We play again Friday and we are hoping to get another win too."

Led by Frazier and Notre Dame commit Joey Brooks, Strake Jesuit is 27-6 and looking to do some damage in the playoffs. Their next match up is Friday against Chavez.

"If we bring our "A" game every game and if we play like we did [on Tuesday] we'll have a great chance to go far in the playoffs and even in state," Frazier, a three-star prospect, said.

Individually, Frazier is having a great season. He's averaging 15 points a game and has raised his stock among college coaches.

"I think I'm doing great," Frazier said. "To me I'm bringing something every game. If my shot isn't falling I'm doing something. I'm just being a real team player out there and getting everyone involved and I think I'm playing great."

Frazier said he's hearing the most from Santa Clara, New Mexico State, Kansas State and Bradley. Hawaii, SMU, Wichita State and Stephen F. Austin are also involved in his recruitment.

"It's pretty much wide open," Frazier said of his recruitment. "I don't really have a favorite or anything like that."

"I'm going to wait it out and wait until the end of the summer before I start thinking about making a decision on where I want to go to school," he continued.

Frazier will play with Houston Elite throughout the spring and summer. Among the events they are scheduled to participate in is the Real Deal On The Hill and the Jayhawk Invitational.
