Paul George, 6-7 SR SF Palmdale (Calif.) Knight, told me this evening that he has obtained a release from his letter of intent with Pepperdine. Previously, two other members of the Pepperdine 2008 class, Paul McCoy and Brad Tinsley, received their releases after the resignation of former Wave coach Vance Wahlberg.
George told me that he's currently looking at two schools.
"I've been in contact with Fresno State and Wyoming," said George. "I'm going to visit Fresno State with my family on Friday. And I'll visit Wyoming sometime in the future."
George made it clear that he's open to hearing from other schools.
"I just want to see what happens and see what other schools might be interested," said George. "I'm going to play in April with the Pump team and we'll see what happens."
George said he's doing fine academically.
