Turner Opens Up His Recruitment

College programs that are in need of a shooting guard just picked up a new option, as Chris Turner is back on the market.

Chris Turner is back on the board. The 6-foot-5, 180-pound shooting guard recently decided that he wouldn't attend Oregon State and since has had a handful of high majors showing interest.

"I opened it up really because Coach [Jay] John got fired and I don't want to go to a school with an unstable coaching staff," Turner said. "They don't really know who is going to be there."

Since opening it up the Houston (Tex.) Christian Life Academy standout has heard from Seton Hall, Baylor, Cincinnati, East Carolina and Wake Forest.

"I've been in contact with a couple of schools," Turner said. "I'm just really open right now and I'm looking out there trying to make the right choice."

Turner, who is ranked as 27th best shooting guard in the class of 2008, only took a pair of official visits when he initially went through his recruitment.
