Illinois picked up their second commitment for the 2008 class on Monday, when Dominique Keller gave the Illini staff a verbal commitment.

"I picked Illinois because of [Jerrance] Howard and [Bruce] Weber, the other half was because of Jamar [Smith] and Alex [Legion]," Keller said. "My mom and my coach told me to follow my heart and my heart took me right to Illinois."
Keller, a standout at Lee Community College in Baytown (Tex.), averaged 18 points and six rebounds as a freshman. This past season he put up 25 points and 9 rebounds a game this past season.
The 6-foot-7, 235-pound power forward picked Illinois over college interest from Mississippi, Idaho, Texas A&M and Florida State.
