Dan Jennings' season at Mouth of Wilson (Va.) Oak Hill didn't go as planned, but the 6-foot-8 power forward did take a few big steps toward getting in shape and getting ready for college basketball.

"I just started going to the gym, working hard and changing my body," Jennings said. "I've lost about 25 pounds. I've lost a lot of weight and I've just been working hard."

"Now that I'm in shape I feel like I'm a more complete player," he continued. "When I think about how I was on the bench behind Tiny Gallon I understood because I wasn't in great shape, now I know that I'm in shape and I'm stronger now and I see results."

Although he's made great strides, Jennings is going to have one more year on the circuit and then a season of prep school ball. He hasn't decided which prep school he'll attend next year.

This summer Jennings will play for the New York Guachos. He was apart of their squad last year when they tore through the circuit, winning majority of the events they played in. Jennings is expecting another big year on the circuit.

"I feel like this summer I'm going to have people in shock," Jennings said. "They are going to see a whole different person this summer. Our team is going to be pretty good too."

As far as recruiting goes, Jennings said he's still hearing from the "same" schools. Among the ones on his list are Xavier, Oklahoma State, Pittsburgh, Memphis, Rutgers, Saint John's and Arizona.

He's already taken an unofficial visit to Pittsburgh and he said he's hoping to swing by their campus again in the near future. Jennings said he'd also like to visit Memphis, Xavier and Oklahoma State.

"I'm trying to make sure that I go to school where I can make an impact," Jennings said. "I want to go to a school where the school needs me and I can come in and make an impact on the team. I want to go to a program where I can play right away."

Jennings is looking to make his collegiate decision in the fall.
