"I've been talking to them for a very long time," Ward said. "They've been recruiting me real hard and the relationship I built with them was just unbelievable. I just felt really comfortable and I think I'll be able to play there."
Ward, a three-star prospect on Scout.com, took an official visit to Cincinnati on Monday. While on campus, Ward felt at home and envisioned himself playing for the Bearcats.
"I just walked around the campus," Ward, who was originally a member of the 2007 class, said. "I got to see their arena and their facilities were real nice. I just really enjoyed myself up there."
This past season Ward averaged 16 points a game for Patterson.
