Evans Down To Four; Will Announce Soon

MILWAUKEE, Wisc. -- Tyreke Evans is almost ready to announce his college decision. The 6-foot-6, 215-pound wing is down to four schools and will take one final visit before he decides.

Tyreke Evans has set a date.

The best prospect still on the board will announce his collegiate decision on April 16th. Evans said that he has narrowed his list of choices to Memphis, Villanova, Connecticut and Texas.

Recently the Aston (Pa.) American Christian product took a visit to Memphis for their game against Tennessee. It was Evans' first trip to Memphis and the talented wing said he was impressed with what Memphis had to offer.

Evans Is Down To Four
"It was nice," Evans said. "I had a great time up there. The game was great and it was crowded. I got to talk to a lot of the guys up there. I talked to D-Rose and the coaches. I had a good time up there."

After the McDonald's All-American festivities Evans, who is ranked No. 4 overall in the class of 2008, is planning to take an unofficial visit to Villanova. The trip to Villanova will be his final visit.

"When I get back home I'm going to go by ‘Nova because they want to talk to me and my brother one more time before signing day," Evans said. "I'm signing April 16th. I was going to announce it up here, but I'm going to do it on April 16th."

Evans' press conference will be nationally televised at his high school.
