Ebanks Gets His Release

With Kelvin Sampson out at Indiana, Devin Ebanks opted to get released from his letter-of-intent. The talented wing already has a handful of schools in the mix.

The world's worst kept secret is finally official.

Devin Ebanks, a 6-foot-8 wing, was released from his letter-of-intent with Indiana on Wednesday. Ebanks instantly becomes one of the best prospects available, just behind Scotty Hopson and Tyreke Evans.

"I'm going to look for a school that had some of the same things I liked in Indiana," Ebanks told Jeff Goodman of FOXSports.com. "I want to go somewhere I can develop, play right away and have a great relationship with my coach."

With his release in hand, Ebanks will likely field calls from high majors across the country. The Oakdale (Conn.) St. Thomas More School standout is already listing Texas, Memphis, Rutgers and West Virginia.

``Those are my top four and the only ones I'll look at," Ebanks said. "I'm going to schedule visits to all four of them."

Ebanks is ranked the 4th best small forward in the class of 2008.
