North Carolina-Wilmington will sign a junior college player when the early signing period kicks off next week.

David Truesdale of Dodge City Junior College is headed back to his home state. "He's going to sign next week with Wilmington," Dodge City coach Brian Hambrecht said. New Mexico, the Seahawks and College of Charleston were his final three choices.

Earlier, Truesdale committed to the College of Charleston but rescinded the verbal and opened up the process. New Mexico liked him but he wasn't ready to pull the trigger at the time.

So far this year, he's doing terrific. He's averaging 15 points through 3 games. Oklahoma inquired as did Oregon, Oregon State and Baylor. "I think he can be an all-conference guy for a couple of years," Hoberecht said.
