Ben-Eze Finds New Home

The Davidson Wildcats received a strong commitment Wednesday afternoon. Senior center Frank Ben-Eze will soon be a Wildcat.

A long season will finally come to and end on Wednesday. Davidson College, according to a source, is expected to receive the official paperwork for Frank Ben-Eze. The 6-foot-10 Arlington (Va.) Bishop O'Connell standout picked Davidson after hearing from a host of high-level programs, including Georgia Tech.

Ben-Eze was originally property of Harvard but was not admitted and therefore re-opened his recruiting process. However, on Feb. 25, he hit a snag as he tore his ACL. Ben-Eze had been dealing with a nagging shin injury at the time.

A native of Benin City, Nigeria, Ben-Eze played two seasons at O'Connell and ran the circuit with the D.C. Blue Devils.

At Davidson, an Elite 8 participant, Ben-Eze will be asked to replace departing insiders Boris Meno and Thomas Sander.
