On Wednesday, during his official visit, the 6-foot-2 combo guard out of Hutchison Junior College, signed his national letter of intent with the Tennessee Volunteers.
He averaged 20.7 points a game this past year. The one-time Oklahoma Sooner visited Cincinnati last weekend and Kentucky was next on his agenda. However, he's done looking and Southern Cal won't receive a visit either.
"Tennessee lost a little bit of scoring but they've got some guys coming back and Scotty Hopson's a McDonald's All-American," Maze said. "To me, it's the best fit. I had a chance to drive a Geo Prism or a Ferrari. I'm not trying to go to a school and not win; I want a championship. Tennessee has the best opportunity to win because of the players and Coach Pearl."
