Andrew Bock, 6-0 JR PG Rialto (Calif.) Eisenhower, is a true point guard with an excellent feel for the position. Bock has a grown a couple inches in the last year, which has increased his stock as a prospect. He's still not physically mature, but he has a good frame and should ultimately fill out well. An excellent decision-maker, Bock was one of the more impressive point guards I saw during the April evaluation period. He's a high major prospect.
I spoke with Bock recently and he gave me a list of schools that have been in touch with him.
"San Diego State, Boise State, Santa Clara, Nevada, UC Riverside, Portland, Pacific, St. Mary's, Washington and UC Davis," said Bock. "Portland, UOP and Riverside have offered."
Bock has some unofficial visits upcoming.
"I'm going to Santa Clara for the Rumble In The Bay later this month," said Bock. "And I'm going to St. Mary's, UOP and Davis sometime in the next couple weeks."
Bock talked a little about the factors that will influence his choice.
"Coaching is important, getting along with the coach," said Bock. "The atmosphere and the style of play also. I like to run, but then set up the offense if it's not there. Location doesn't matter."
Bock said he'll take his time with the decision.
"I'll probably decided sometime after the summer," said Bock.
Bock said he has a 3.5 GPA.
