On Tuesday morning, the Golden Eagles received another piece of excellent news from a Top 100 prospect. Small forward Jeronne Maymon is headed to Milwaukee. He turned down numerous Big East and area programs when he picked Marquette.
"It's convenient for the whole family to be able to see him," Maymon's father Timothy told Scout.com. "He's got a chance at a national title and he's going to be able to get as much playing time as he can handle."
Maymon is a 6-foot-6 small forward out of Madison (Wisc.) Memorial High School. A Scout.com study two years ago revealed that 81 percent of in-state players from Wisconsin select either the Badgers or the Golden Eagles. That success rate with in-state players was the highest of any state in the country in terms of keeping home-grown talent around.
Maymon is ranked No. 58 in the Class of 2009 by Scout.com.
