Cunningham Has A Couple Offers

Chris Cunningham, a junior post from Southern California, is currently holding offers from a WCC and Big West program. Several other schools are involved as well with the talented center...

Chris Cunningham, 6-7 JR C Pomona (Calif.) Diamond Ranch, is one of the more fundamentally sound post prospects in the west. Cunningham has a very good feel in the post, as well as advanced footwork, and he rarely makes a bad decision. He's a very good prospect at the mid major level and he'll probably draw interest from some high majors.

I spoke with Cunningham over the weekend and he gave me a list of schools that have been showing interest.

"Santa Clara, Stanford, UC Riverside, Washington, Gonzaga and Pepperdine are the main ones," said Cunningham. "Santa Clara and Riverside have offered."

Cunningham talked a little about the factors that might influence his choice.

"I want to be in a program that has a family environment, where I'm surrounded by good coaches that will help me become an all-around player," said Cunningham.

Cunningham has been to local school UC Riverside on an unofficial and says he'll take another visit later this month.

"I'm going to Santa Clara for their Elite Camp," said Cunningham. "And I might possibly go to the Stanford camp also."

Cunningham said he doesn't have a timeframe for picking a school.

"It'll be sometime after the summer," said Cunningham.
