West Coast 2009 Rankings: Point Guards

Abdul Gaddy and Elijah Johnson head the list for the top 2009 West Coast point guards...

The 2009 West Coast point guards are a solid, but not great, group of prospects. Gaddy is the easy choice for the top spot. A true point guard who makes his teammates better, Gaddy has great size and a very high skill level. His feel for the game is exceptional. A great athlete, Johnson has as much upside as any guard on the list. He needs to improve his decision-making and approach to the game. If he does those things, he could end up one of the best guards in the country. Thames has great physical tools for the position and his skills have come along in the last year. He's not a true one, but shows enough feel for the position that I think he ends up there in college. Bock is a true point guard, with a great feel for the game. His decision-making is outstanding and his frame suggests upside to his body. Siva is an explosive athlete with the ability to knock down shots. Decision-making and feel for the game need to improve, but he is one of the best shooters at the position in the west.
