Singletary Gets Defensive

Sean Singletary, a point guard with the Playaz Basketball Club, is blossoming into a high-major player. He's looking forward to helping make his team tops in the City of Brotherly Love.

Playaz Guard Has Right Attitude

Sean Singletary couldn't be more ready to start his junior season at Penn Charter. He likes the product his team will put on the floor. "We're going to get started this Friday," Singletary said. "We're looking pretty good. We're going to be the best team in the city."

Last season, Singletary averaged 21 points and 9 assists. However, he wants to address some questions that college coaches expressed to him. "I've talked to college coaches and they want to see me score more," Singletary said. "I want to lead."

Leadership is one thing he excels at so. So is defense. At the fall Charlie Weber where his Playaz were victorious, Singletary was terrific on defense. He's intense and sticks to his man with pride. "I've' been D-ing up." I always play D and just recently people have been complimenting me on my defense. I guess it's my trademark."

Singletary says that North Carolina State, Virginia, Memphis, Rutgers, Notre Dame and Florida State have shown interest in him.
