"I really got to know Coach Williams and I got a really good feeling about UNC and I thought that school was the best for me," McDonald said. "I just had a really good feeling about that school."
"I liked the whole school from the gym to the environment and I talked to the whole coaching staff and UNC to me is like a family," he continued. "The way I saw the coaching staff work together, with Roy Williams and the way they players played on the court. I just saw the togetherness and the family atmosphere."
"I feel like UNC is the best for me and heading that way will really help me excel to get to the next level," McDonald told Scout.com.
