Tyler Honeycutt, the #1 ranked small forward in the west for 2009, is one of the more promising prospects I've seen in in the class of 2009. He's an outstanding passer and a very good shooter, with deep range on his shot. With his youthful appearance, and rapid growth rate over the past couple years, Honeycutt is just oozing upside.
Honeycutt put on a show in several games during the spring, seemingly getting better (and more confident) every time he stepped on the court. He has a wide range of schools expressing interest in him after his showing in the April evaluation period.
"Arizona State, Washington, San Diego, San Diego State and Santa Clara have offerred," Honeycutt's mother Lisa told me recently. "USC just offered after his performance at their Elite Camp."
Honeycutt is slated to attend UCLA's Elite Camp at the end of June.
