Spurlock Sets Up Visits

Tristan Spurlock, who is ranked as the 9th best small forward by Scout.com, is getting strong interest from high major programs and he's ready to start taking unofficial visits.

This visit part of the recruiting process is about to begin for Tristan Spurlock.

Beginning this weekend, Spurlock, of Rockville (Md.) Montrose Christian, will start taking unofficial visits. He'll head to Virginia this weekend, and then follow it up with a trip to Georgetown the following week.

"I'm really excited," Spurlock said. "Things are starting to heat up, so I'm excited. I'm a little bit anxious, but I still want to take things slow and actually see which school I best fit into."

At this point, some schools are beginning to separate themselves. Among the schools heavily involved are Wake Forest, NC State, Virginia, Georgetown, Clemson and Louisville.

"The only new schools I'm hearing from are Louisville and Clemson," Spurlock said. "They came on pretty strong and offered. Those are the only new schools that have really gotten involved [recently]."

"I would like to visit Wake Forest and go down there and see their campus," he continued. "I talked to Clemson about visiting. All of my top schools I'd like to unofficially visit."

Spurlock, who is ranked No. 47 overall by Scout.com, wants to have a decision before his high school season begins.
