Jones Headed To Big 12

Eshaunte Jones is headed to Big 12 country. The scoring guard visited a program and made a commitment.

The Nebraska Cornhuskers added an excellent post-graduate player this week. Eshaunte Jones, a 6-foot-3 shooting guard, is headed Lincoln where he'll have four years of eligibility.

"Bear committed to Nebraska," Blessed IJN coach Eric Vaughn told Scout.com. "He went down and visited and really liked it. That's what he's going to do."

Vaughn indicated that Jones was looked at by Pittsburgh, Kentucky and Baylor after opting out of his letter of intent with Oregon State. The Beavers lost Jones during the coaching change transition.

"He really liked the coaching staff. Dave Anwar, an assistant, he had a great relationship with him. They're looking at playing him at the point guard and that was attractive to him."
