Acy Now Headed To Baylor

The Baylor Bears added a strong prospect late. Power forward Quincy Acy, originally thought to be a member of the 2009 contingent, is headed to college this fall.

It looks like the plan has changed. Mesquite (Tex.) Horn power forward Quincy Acy is not going to be a member of the Class of 2009 after all.

According to The Dallas Morning News, Acy has qualified and will attend Baylor this fall.

""I just didn't want to go to prep school," Acy told the paper. "I've liked Baylor for a while now. They were excited when I told them I wanted to be there, and I felt relieved."

Acy averaged 17.8 points and 7.8 rebounds. He was the district defensive player of the year.

Acy was ranked the No. 82 prospect in the Class of 2009 before relocating into the Class of 2008.
