Langford Set For Big July

Josh Langford is primed for a big July. The talented wing is coming off a solid performance at a quality event, and is looking to raise his level of play.

The July evaluation is approaching and a prospect that a number of coaches will pay close attention to is Josh Langford, of Huntsville (Ala.) J.O. Johnson.

The 6-foot-6 forward had a solid spring, before stepping up his game at the prestigious Nike Hoop Jamboree. A long, athletic wing, Langford attacks the rim with authority and uses his strength and athleticism to finish once he gets there.

"I think I attack the hole pretty good and leap pretty well," Langford, who is ranked No. 48 by, said. "I go hard every time."

Recruiting is still in the early stages for Langford, but he's already developed a following of high major programs. He's heard from Miami, UAB, Memphis, Louisville, Alabama, Texas, USC, Oklahoma and Stanford.

"Some of the schools that I want to recruit me aren't recruiting me, but it's going good," Langford said of the process.

"I want Florida and Penn State [to recruit me]," he continued. "I just like their systems. I really like Louisville the best though. They know how to get their small forwards open."

Langford's busy summer begins at the Kentucky Hoopfest on July 9th with the Alabama Lasers 16's. He'll then finish off July at the AAU events in Orlando.

Langford is ranked No. 11 on's small forward list.
