SoCal Camps Rundown

The Fullcourt Press All-West Camp and West Coast All-Star Camp #2 both have some intriguing prospects on hand, including Kyle Richardson, Garrett Johnson and Korey Thieleke...

Carson and Hawthorne, Calif. – We continue our coverage of the second day at the West Coast All-Star Camp and the first day of the Fullcourt Press All-West Camp…

Kyle Richardson, 6-6 PF Lakewood (Calif.) Mayfair. Richardson hasn't received a lot of attention to this point, but he's got far more upside than some of his more hyped contemporaries in Southern California. Richardson is very light on his feet and he's got excellent hands. Judging from his youthful appearance, and huge feet, it won't be surprising if Richardson grows a bit more.

Ken Rancifer, 6-4 SG/SF El Cerrito (Calif.) High. Long and bouncy wing who is showing signs of improved skills. Shooting it better than he did a year ago and gets to the rim frequently. He's a very nice prospect if he can shoot it consistently.

Allen Huddleston, 6-0 PG/SG Merced (Calif.) High. Good-looking prospect with a nice frame and quickness. Showed signs yesterday that he might be able to play the one.

Garrett Johnson, 6-5 SF Pomona (Calif.) Diamond Ranch. One of the top small forwards in the west, Johnson has a very solid all-around game. When he's making jump shots, he looks like a high major prospect.

Korey Thieleke, 6-4 SG Bakersfield (Calif.) West. Good-looking young wing with length and a nice frame. Good skills overall, nice stroke and solid decisions. He's got the potential to be one of the top wings in the West Coast class of 2010.

Amir Garrett, 6-3 SG/SF Las Vegas (Nev.) Sierra Vista. Nice wing body with length and athleticism. Not sure about skill level, but looks like he has a chance.
