Udofia Makes His Decision

Mfon Udofia, Scout.com's No. 6-ranked point guard in the 2009 class, made up his mind on Tuesday. The 6-1 floor general from Lithonia (Ga.) Miller Grove will be playing college ball in the ACC.

Udofia announced on Tuesday that he has committed to Georgia Tech.

"I had a great player-coach relationship with Coach C.Y. [assistant Charlton Young] and Coach Hewitt," Udofia told Scout.com. "They are like family. I'm from Georgia -- I've been around them and I'm the hometown kid."

Udofia picked the Yellow Jackets over finalists Wake Forest, Virginia, Texas and Florida.

"It was the relationship," he explained. "They felt like family. I talked to them all the time and I just felt like it was the place for me."

He averaged 25 points and six assists last season and is ranked No. 40 overall in the class by Scout.com
