Big Ten Program Snags Morris

Yet another point guard is off the board in the 2009 class, as Darius Morris committed to a Big Ten program.

Darius Morris ended his recruitment Friday afternoon. The Los Angeles (Calif.) Windward School standout picked Michigan during a press conference at his school.

"Darius Morris to Michigan," Belmont Shore coach Dinos Trigonis texted

Morris, a 6-foot-3, 165-pound PG, picked the Wolverines over strong interest from Stanford, Oregon State, USC and Kentucky.

"I liked everything the school, the academics, the basketball program and the coaching staff," Morris said. "Everything about it was great. The coaching staff recruited me very hard."

The talented 2009 guard will join Jordan Morgan, of Detroit (Mich.) Jesuit, as commitments in the class. Morris is ranked No. 13 at the point guard position by
