According to plan, 6-foot-10 power forward Ryan Kelly has trimmed up his list and the next step is the official visit process. The Raleigh (N.C.) Ravenscroft senior, ranked No. 13, by Scout.com, has removed Virginia, Davidson, North Carolina State and Stanford.
"I'm very grateful that all the schools have shown interest in me as a person and as a basketball player," Kelly relayed. "I've met some of the greatest guys in this process and it has been very difficult to narrow this process down. I plan on taking some visits and learning what each school has to offer and getting a closer look at each team. I want to thank my family and close friends for their support."
Kelly sports 1,102 career points at Ravenscroft and has started all 87 games in his high school career. Through his junior season, he's already the school's all-time leader in blocked shots with 281.
As a junior, his high school team finished 5th in the state with a 24-6 record. Kelly, an all-state selection, averaged 23.4 points, 8.7 rebounds and 4 blocks.
The Carmel, N.Y., native was a silver medalist with the United States under 18-national team in July. His best work on the circuit came with his D-One Sports squad in Vegas where he and John Wall teamed to win the Create-n-Finish Cup.
