Dower Cuts List To Five

Sam Dower has spent some time evaluating his college choices and he recently narrowed his list of schools down to five.

After picking up new interest throughout the spring and summer, Sam Dower, of Osseo (Minn.) High, opted to cut his list of schools, according to his AAU coach Marquise Watts.

His shortened list includes Marquette, Minnesota, Gonzaga, George Mason and California.

"Right now he's trying to figure out which guys and which system will give him time early and develop him and help him be the best he can be," Watts said.

With his list cut, Dower is now in the process of setting up official and in-home visits. The only visit Dower has set up thus far is to Gonzaga, the weekend of September 6th.

"I think he's going to do unofficial probably in August at Marquette and Minnesota, just because he can get there," Watts said.

Dower's already taken an unofficial visit to George Mason, so he likely won't take another trip. He's planning to have an in-home visit with each of the five schools on his list.

Dower doesn't have a specific timetable on making his final decision.
