2009 West Coast Rankings: Centers

The 2009 West Coast center class features such players as Renardo Sidney, Greg Smith, Anthony Stover and the Wear twins....

The 2009 centers in the west are a solid group, with a number of
quality prospects outside of the top ten. Sidney is the clear choice
for the top spot, based purely on his potential. Whether that potential
will ever be fully realized is an open question, but there is no
denying his upside if he ever gets serious about being a player. Smith
has great physical attributes, with huge hands and a great body, but
does need to improve his focus and approach to the game. Stover is
the best shot-blocker in the class and needs only to add some weight
and strength to develop into a solid player. Both Wears have solid
all-around skills, and very good fundamentals, but there is some
question about upside at the next level.
