CSI's Watkins Reaches Decision

Joseph "Jay" Watkins, a former all-freshman performer at San Francisco, has relocated to the Mountain West.

Joe Watkins, a former WCC all-rookie selection at San Francisco, has relocated. The Utah Utes have added to their haul.

Watkins, a 6-foot-7, 220 pound small forward, averaged 6.2 points as a freshman for the Dons but coaching changes prompted him to leave the program. He enrolled at the College of Southern Idaho. Watkins was a former 3-star recruit out of Memphis Hamilton's High a few years ago.

"He's an athletic son of a gun, now," CSI coach Steve Gosar told Scout.com. "He's a big athletic wing. This summer he did a great job of being in the weight room working on his body. He's improved his body and his jumper drastically."
