Kadima Headed To Big 12

Chim Kadima was ready to make a decision, so he opted to pop for a Big 12 program, Tuesday morning.

An unofficial visit to Ames (Iowa) was all Chim Kadima needed to see. Shortly after making the trip to Iowa State's campus, the 6-foot-3 guard made a commitment.

"He fit in really well and really enjoyed it," Kadima's AAU coach Ritchie Davis said. "He's felt that way for a little while, so he figured why wait."

Kadima, a member of the 2010 class, picked Iowa State over strong interest from Marquette, Iowa, Boston College and Vanderbilt.

"They were the first high major school to extend a scholarship offer to him and by far spent the most time recruiting him," Davis said. "I think that's what it comes to do. They've got three coaches on staff that are all from the Milwaukee metro area so he knows them. "

The Milwaukee (Wisc.) Lutheran standout is Iowa State's second commitment for the 2010 class. Kadima joins Rock Valley (Iowa) High standout Jordan Dykstra.
