Kent State Scores Guard

Geno Ford's Kent State Golden Flashes nabbed one of the top senior point men in Ohio over the weekend.

Geno Ford's Kent State Golden Flashes secured a commitment from one of the top guard prospects in Ohio. Bedford (Ohio) High point guard Randal Holt is officially on board.

"I de-committed from Cleveland State during the school season and then I was getting recruited by the MAC schools and I felt that was a good league for me and I'll be at Kent State," Holt told Scout.com.

As a junior, Holt accounted for 21 points and 5 assists a game. He was an honorable mention all-Ohio selection.

"Kent State has a winning record and I like the coaching staff," Holt said. "It's close to home and I know I'm going to get my degree.

"I'm going to come in as a freshman and get significant minutes and contribute to the team. I'll get my degree and hopefully play professionally somewhere."
