Johnson Will Play In The Big Ten

Terone Johnson contemplated making an early decision and this past weekend he decided to go ahead and end it.

Matt Painter and his staff picked up their second verbal of the 2010 class, Sunday evening when Terone Johnson, Indianapolis (Ind.) North Central, gave them a verbal commitment.

"They got on me pretty early and ever since then they've been recruiting me pretty hard and I feel like they were pretty into it," Johnson said.

The 6-foot-2, 180-pound combo guard took an unofficial visit to Purdue the weekend of September 13th.

"I've been thinking about it for a while, me and my parents have," he said. "I really liked their style of play and I feel like I really fit in with their players and staff."

Johnson said he also considered Butler, Cincinnati, Xavier. He joins Travis Carroll, of Danville (Ind.) Community, to make up their current 2010 recruiting class.
