Larson: When You Know You Know

Cody Larson didn't need any more visits. The rising junior from South Dakota is off the board and headed to Big Ten country.

Cody Larson knew coming into the weekend that his recruiting domino could fall. The Class of 2010 forward ventured once again to Iowa and he'll leave campus as a member of Todd Lickliter's crew.

"I knew, that's the reason I came down here so I could commit," the 6-foot-9 Larson told Scout.com. "I knew from my first visit. They came to some open gyms and I really knew when they showed a lot of interest in me.

"I have a great comfort level about here and it felt like a good."

The Sioux Falls (S.D.) Roosevelt product ran with the Dakota Schoolers last summer and visited numerous programs. High-major interest in Larson ranged from the ACC to the SEC and everywhere in between.

Iowa was consistent and persistent in its pursuit of Larson.

"They showed me some tapes and said that they'll let me experiment and play around the court and not just stick me in the post or wing and let me use my ability."

"It's close to home and he was really comfortable with the coaching staff," Schoolers coach Paul Seville said of the commitment.

Chanse Creekmur and Eric May have pledged to Iowa for the Class of 2010 as well.
