Reid Will Wait To Sign In Spring

The 2009 class is getting thin, as a number of the top prospects have already made commitments. Jeff Reid is among the group that has not and is a quality shooting guard still on the table.

For Jeff Reid, of Topeka (Kans.) Hayden, the summer didn't go quite as planned.

"It was actually a pretty rough summer," the 6-foot-5, 175-pound guard said. "I was hurt most of the summer and I went and tried to play when I wasn't 100-percent and I did OK. I just played in three tournaments. It was a rough summer for me."

Although he wasn't full strength, nor got to participate in many events, Reid still has a handful of high major programs after his services.

"Some college have dropped off, but there are still some colleges that are still looking at me," Reid explained. "So it's still going good."

The schools that have shown him the most attention are Kansas State, Colorado, Arkansas, Notre Dame, Creighton and Missouri State. Reid said none have a scholarship on the table at this point.

"As of right now I'm probably going to wait until the spring signing period, that's what I'm leaning towards. I don't have any visits set up right now. I'm working on a couple right now. I'm working on a couple, maybe go out to Colorado and Arkansas."

Reid is rated as a three-star prospect on Scout.com.
