Morgan Looking For New School

Ricky Morgan is leaving Iowa State. The sophomore point guard is searching around for a new home.

Morgan Hunting For School

Ricky Morgan, a sophomore point guard, is transferring from Iowa State. Last year, Morgan averaged 2.6 points and 3 assists a game.

As a senior coming out of high school, Morgan had a reputation as a good defender and solid team guy. When he picked Iowa State in 2000, he had interest from Michigan State, Xavier and Marquette. While we don't expect any of those schools to be involved, there'll be a place for Morgan.

"He's looking for the opportunity to have the ball in his hands and to be an integral part of the decision making process as far as when the game is on the line," Chris Grier, Morgan's former AAU coach said. "He wants to know that the ball will be in his own hands."

Morgan already has his release from the Cyclones.
