"I already took my visit to South Carolina and South Florida," Clanton said. "I'm going to UCF this weekend coming up."
Clanton, a 6-foot-8, 210-pound PF, broke down the three schools involved in his recruitment. UCF and USF were among the first schools to get involved with his recruitment, while USC has stepped up their efforts recently.
"Central Florida, they are real close to home and they've been recruiting me for a long time," Clanton said. "I think they actually really want me a lot and I think there's a chance for me to come in and play as a freshman."
"With South Florida they've been recruiting me for a while and they were the first one to offer me a scholarship and they like me," the three-star prospect said.
"South Carolina, I like them because right when they saw me they offered me a scholarship. They've been recruiting me since."
With just one official visit left, Clanton, a 2009 prospect, is closing in on making his decision.
"I'm not sure what I want to do, but I want to make my commitment around the 22nd [of October], or sometime around that date."
